SparkOptimus Day of Giving: Our annual Day of Giving brings the entire team together to volunteer for a good cause. Last year, we focused on fostering connections by supporting local communities - guiding Ukrainian refugees on a museum visit, brightening a community home with a fresh coat of paint, and cleaning up the city. We also played games with seniors and worked in open-air vegetable gardens. This event reflects our ongoing commitment to giving back and making a positive impact in the places we live and work.
RefugeeHelp.com: In partnership with VluchtelingenWerk Nederland, we developed RefugeeHelp.com to support Ukrainian refugees in the Netherlands. What began as a platform to share essential information quickly became a lifeline, attracting over 65,000 users in just a few days. The impact was immense: thousands of refugees gained access to vital services, and the platform grew to become the go-to source for all refugees seeking information in the Netherlands. RefugeeHelp.com continues to help people in need, and we’re proud of the role it has played in creating a more inclusive community.
Committed to Women in Leadership: At SparkOptimus, we’re proud to celebrate the women who make up 48% of our workforce and 49% of those we attract through our recruitment process. Our commitment to diversity is reflected in our entire Management Team, which is made up of women. We believe that fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace not only strengthens our team but also drives innovation and positive change in the work we do.
Partnering with CarbonFuture for sustainable carbon removal: We’ve partnered with CarbonFuture to enhance our net-zero strategy by integrating durable carbon dioxide removal (CDR). Since the partnership, we’ve successfully offset a significant portion of our emissions through CarbonFuture’s high-quality, verifiable carbon removal credits. This collaboration ensures that our sustainability efforts are both impactful and measurable, helping us make a lasting contribution to climate action.
Philips Innovation Awards: For years, we’ve been proud to support the Philips Innovation Awards, mentoring and coaching the next generation of entrepreneurs. We guide them through critical steps like customer validation and scaling, helping them leverage technology to drive positive social impact. Our participation in the awards is just one of the ways we champion innovation and support businesses that are focused on making a difference.
